about Healthy Roots® Hemp

CBD is short for CannaBiDiol. It is one of more than a hundred cannabinoids produced by the industrial hemp and cannabis plants. Unlike THC, CBD is non-psychoactive meaning it doesn’t give you the intoxicating or “high” effects that THC products do.
No, all of our products contain less than .3% THC (well under the federal legal limit) so you will not feel the intoxicating effects you get from THC dominant cannabis products.
While there is very little evidence suggesting any negative drug interactions with CBD, we always recommend consulting with your physician first.
After the passing of the 2018 Farm Bill, industrial hemp derived CBD (containing less than .3% THC) was removed from the DEA list of Schedule 1 drugs, making it Federally legal in all 50 states and now regulated by the FDA. While Federally legal, each state has their own regulations, so we always advise researching the legal status of CBD in your particular state. Read more about the legal status of CBD HERE.
While it is highly unlikely cannabidiol will show up on a drug test, we always tell our customers to take our product at their own risk since we use Full Spectrum Oil (FSO) containing trace amounts of THC (below the Federal legal limit).  We do offer several cbd isolate products that have the CBD removed completely if a drug test is a concern. One exception to this applies to all Federal employees such as but not limited to Military personnel and Department of Defense employees and those with security clearances. These employees must not use any type of CBD products since these government entities strictly prohibits CBD use as well as THC for the foreseeable future.
All of our products have suggested dosages on the labels. Everyone is different and metabolizes CBD differently, so we can only give recommendations on dosage. We always suggest starting small and increasing your dose as needed. You cannot overdose on CBD so increase your dosage according to how your body feels. Pet dosage is based on the size and weight of your animal.
Our tinctures range from $20 to $120 depending on potency, our body care and beauty products range from $8 to $70, and our pet products range from $20 to $70.
Yes, we are 100% local to Oregon. Vertically integrated, locally sourced and manufactured from our farm to your family.
As long they are stored properly, out of direct sunlight, and in a cool place, all of our products will stay good for up to 18 months.
No, we are below the legal limit of THC (.3%) and regulated by the Oregon Department of Agriculture (ODA) and not the Oregon Liquor Control Commission, so our products are not sold in the same stores as recreational (THC) cannabis products.

You can buy our products online on our website HERE, we have free shipping to all 50 states, and you can find us in stores across Oregon and Washington. You can also stop by our storefront in Portland near PDX airport at 14325 NE Airport Way #113 Portland, Oregon 97230. Find a full list of our retail locations HERE.

Full Spectrum CBD Tincture

It’s a liquid form that comes in different ingredients like grapeseed oil, hemp oil, glycerine, and MCT coconut Oil.  You can take it by dropping it under the tongue, in drink or on food. Follow the instructions on the packaging when taking. If you’re not seeing optimal results with suggested usage, increase serving.

Full Spectrum CBD Tincture contains all the cannabinoids and naturally occurring compounds from the plant, including terpenes, essential oils and other cannabinoids (CBN, CBC, CBG, THC etc.). This creates an “entourage effect” and gives you the most benefits. Legally, hemp must test under 0.3% THC and our products test at ~0.003%, way under that.

CBD Isolate drops have the purest form of CBD extracted from the hemp plant and is produced by removing all other compounds found in the plant, including the terpenes, flavonoids, plant parts and other cannabinoids, including THC.

Isolate is recommended for when you need a higher CBD dose, an added CBD boost to your current routine or if you are concerned about drug testing and must follow strict protocol.

While it is highly unlikely cannabidiol (CBD) will show up on a drug test, we always tell our customers to take our product at their own risk since we use Full Spectrum Oil (FSO) containing trace amounts of THC (below the Federal legal limit).

Think of Full Spectrum CBD tincture as a vitamin or supplement — they promote overall wellness when taken consistently. You can use it for sports recovery, everyday aches and discomforts and may ease stress from daily activities and current events.

Coconut Oil is used for many different purposes topically, including massages, irritated areas, and moisturizing skin. If you choose to apply CBD tinctures topically, they will have the same effect as a topical product, rather than the benefits if taken internally. If you plan to use CBD as a topical treatment regularly, we suggest using any of our convenient topical CBD body care products, as they are specifically designed for topical use. They can be found here.

All of our products have a suggested dosage located on the packaging. Everyone metabolizes CBD differently, so you may need to increase or decrease to get your proper dosage. We always suggest starting small and increasing your dose as needed. You cannot overdose on CBD, so increase your dosage according to how your body feels. Consistency is key and it might take some trial and error to figure out what is most effective for you!

No! Our tinctures taste great and aren’t bitter at all. We have Natural, Berry and Peppermint flavors for our Full Spectrum CBD tinctures and Spearmint and Citrus flavors for our Isolate Tinctures.

NW Cure CO is located in Saint Paul, Oregon. They provide all of the USDA Organic hemp that is then processed into Full Spectrum Oil.

All of our people and body care products are made from ethanol distillation. The pet products are made from Co2 Extraction.

Glossary of Terms

Industrial Hemp is part of the Cannabis Sativa family and contains less than .3% of THC and is mostly comprised of the non-psychoactive compounds and cannabinoids (the ones that do not get you high)

Cannabis on the other hand, contains higher levels of THC, the psychoactive cannabinoid that gives you the intoxicating feeling.

Cannabinoids are the chemical compounds secreted by cannabis flowers that interact with our Endocannabinoid System (ECS) and produce a variety of effects on our bodies. Endocannabinoids are produced naturally within our bodies (like the bliss hormone anandamide) and phytocannabinoids are produced naturally in plants like cannabis and hemp (like THC, CBD, CBN, CBG, CBV).

THC is short for TetraHydroCannabinol. It is one of more than a hundred cannabinoids produced by the industrial hemp and cannabis plants and is the main psychoactive compound in cannabis that gives the high sensation.

CBD is short for CannaBiDiol. It is one of more than a hundred cannabinoids produced by the industrial hemp and cannabis plants. Unlike THC, CBD is non-psychoactive meaning it doesn’t give you the intoxicating or “high” effects that THC products do.

Full Spectrum Oil (FSO) contains all other compounds in hemp including other cannabinoids, terpenes, and fatty acids creating The Entourage Effect.

Isolate is when the CBD is extracted from the hemp plant and isolated on its own without any of the other compounds in hemp. Does not create The Entourage Effect.

The Entourage Effect is the result produced from the synergistic interaction of the cannabinoids, terpenes, fatty acids and other compounds naturally found in hemp and cannabis.

Terpenes are the essential oils of cannabis and hemp, giving each strain its unique smell and flavor. Not unique to cannabis, terpenes can be found in other plants and foods and offer a variety of effects.
